Man City 'submit' Kalvin Phillips transfer bid as Raheem Sterling's preferred move revealed

Striker Erling Haaland has been formally unveiled as a Manchester City player but Pep Guardiola's business in the summer transfer window is far from finished.

Haaland has joined City on a five-year deal worth around £375,000-a-week. The 21-year-old, arguably the most exciting young striker in world football, scored a remarkable 86 goals in 89 games for Dortmund.

The Norway star reckons he can take his game to another level at Premier League champions City under Guardiola and there could be a few more new faces joining him at the Etihad. Mirror Sport rounds up the latest transfer news and rumours.

Phillips bid 'submitted'

City have reportedly wasted little time in getting on with their next piece of business following Haaland's arrival as they follow up on interest in Leeds midfielder Kalvin Phillips.

It is claimed by Football Insider that City have "submitted an offer" for the 26-year-old who boss Guardiola has earmarked as a replacement for the departing Fernandinho.

"A City source has told Football Insider that Phillips is their top target for the remainder of the summer window," they report. "Leeds face a major battle to hang on to the England international, 26, despite his strong links to the club."
